The PMIX edition ships as two installers — subscription/trial and lifetime (buyout). Both have identical features; only activation differs.
Subscription / trial build
- Open the "Help" menu → "Activate License…".
- Enter your email address and click "Send Code".
- Enter the 6-digit code you received to sign in.
- If you have an active subscription, click "Activate" to register this Mac. Otherwise, click "Start Free Trial" for 7 days of full access (one trial per account).
Lifetime build
- Open the "Help" menu → "Activate License…".
- Enter the serial number you received after purchase and click "Activate" (no sign-in required).
Device limits and switching Macs
Each account/serial number can only be active on a limited number of devices. To move to a new Mac once you've reached the limit, use "Deactivate This Mac" in the License settings section, or deactivate the old Mac from the "Devices" page in your online account. Self-service deactivation is limited in number; contact support if you run out.
Offline use and periodic check-ins
Once activated, you can keep working offline for a while. The subscription/trial build needs to check in periodically; if it can't reach the server, it keeps working as long as you're still within your valid period. The lifetime build has no expiry and checks in only when convenient.
