If there is no valid license when the app starts, the "Activate P-MIX Studio Pro" window appears. Clicking Cancel quits the app (there is no limited free mode).
Trial / subscription: sign in with your account
- Under "Account (trial / subscription)", enter your email and click "Send code".
- Enter the verification code from the email and click "Sign in".
- After signing in, the app acts on your account status:
- With a subscription, this Mac is activated automatically and the window closes.
- If a trial is available, click "Start trial".
- If a trial was already started on this Mac, the original trial end date is restored (it is not reset).
See the website for the trial length. A trial can be started only once per Mac and account.
Perpetual license: enter your license key
Under "Perpetual license", enter the license key (PMIX-XXXX-…) from your purchase email or your account page on the website, and click "Activate". No sign-in is needed.
Subscription and perpetual editions
Each license type has its own installer: the subscription edition (including the trial) activates by signing in, and the perpetual edition activates with a license key. If you see "Your license does not cover this app version.", download the installer that matches your license from the website.
Offline use and expiry
- The license is verified offline on your Mac. If the license needs refreshing at startup but there is no network, the app still starts as long as the license is within its validity period.
- The license is checked when the app starts. When a trial or subscription has ended, the activation window appears at the next launch with the reason.
Checking and managing your license
Choose Help → "Manage license…" to open the settings window, and switch to the Registration tab.
- It shows the license status (Trial, N days left / Licensed (Lifetime) / Licensed until … etc.) and the signed-in account.
- "Enter license key…" reopens the activation window.
- "Deactivate this device" removes the license from this Mac and frees one activation so you can activate another Mac (requires a network connection).
The license status (for example "Trial 5d") is also shown at the bottom right of the status bar. If all subscription seats or license devices are in use, unbind an unused device on the website first.
