3. Creating and Opening Projects

New project

Press Cmd+N or choose File → New Project, and fill in the dialog:

• Project name and Save in ("Choose…"): the app creates "folder/project name/project name.pmix" and saves it immediately. If a project with that name already exists there, you are asked to choose another name or folder.
• Save the project automatically after changes (on by default) and Interval (2–120 minutes, at least 2).
• Copy media files into the project folder when saving (on by default).

A new project starts with 7 empty scenes (Scene 1 to Scene 7).

Opening a project

• Press Cmd+O or choose File → "Open Project…" and select a .pmix file. You can also double-click a .pmix file in Finder.
• At startup the last project opens automatically, restoring the window position, preview / program scenes, view mode, card size and MIX duration.
• When you create, open or close with unsaved changes, the app asks whether to save (Yes / No / Cancel).
